Bloom Beta V0.3


Here we have yet another mayor update to Bloom, we're glad to hear what you think about it! Keep in mind that Bloom is still in its early stages of development. If you do come across any bugs/issues, we'd greatly appreciate a comment regarding the discovered issue. If you have any thoughts or ideas for the upcomming future we would love to hear the suggestions.
Anyhow, this is the new Bloom version and its changelog!

New Features 

  • New plant added to the outside, the "Eye plant"
  • Player has updating health visualization 
  • 2 more power-ups added to the shop
  • Daytime/nighttime transition animation
  • Foliage now flow in the wind.
  • Power-ups are saved/loaded
  • Lore "notes" added to the levels
  • See through materials for handling view obstruction
  • Unstuck button replaces Restart button
  • Credit screen added to main menu

Changes

General 

  • Caretaker placement 
  • Various quality of life changes

Balancing

  • Resource balancing for mushroom plant
  • Tongue plant upgrade resource changed
  • All plants now take 3 days without water to be afffected
  • Face plant attack has been altered
  • Stamina drain balance change

Art

  • More "Greenhouse" set dressing
  • More "Outside" set dressing
  • "Core" light now flashes
  • Don't need to hold key to open gate
  • Candles and lanterns now flicker
  • Updates to icon art
  • "Decoration" added to outside bench

UI

  • Updates to chest UI
  • Updates to main menu UI
  • Updates to water "level"UI
  • Updates  to shop UI
  • Updates inventory UI
  • Updates to diegetic UI
  • Updates to creature UI
  • Updates to HUD

Optimization

  • VFX changes
  • Light optimization pass "Greenhouse" 
  • Light optimization pass "Outside"

Bugfixes

  • Water indicator draws after loading save
  • Camera orientation fixed when going from inside -> outside and vice versa
  • Fixed outside collision to not get stuck
