Zentera - Early Access 0.2


CHANGELOG 0.2:

Version 0.2 makes improvements to level 2, including color coordinating the puzzle elements, and linking the gates so a player can complete the level. 

This early pre-release version represents a work-in-progress snapshot of our game - Zentera. While it’s not feature-complete or fully polished, it gives you a first look at the core gameplay, visuals, and tone we're aiming for.

Changes in version 0.2

  • 🛠️Pressure plates have received uniquely colored models to better communicate activation
  • 🛠️Gates in level 2 have been properly linked to corresponding pressure plates
  • ✅Crates have received Art Assets (with placeholder handles / plates)
  • ✅Player VFX has been added
  • 🎮Added an Aiming-Mode, which zooms in on the player, and spawns a reticle which can be used to aim the tongue
  • 🔧Aiming mode turns directional movement into rotational movement

KNOWN ISSUES / BUGS:

  • ⚠️Collision issues on the onboarding level causes the player to fall through the stairs
  • ⚠️Crates fall through the floor in Level 1 making it unable to be solved
  • ⚠️The tongue briefly goes through the players head
  • ⚠️Shadows lag behind for a frame
  • ⚠️The player sometimes struggles to walk up stairs and slopes
