This update marks the full release of Ascension Protocol! We thank everyone that has tested out the game in Early Access.

Changes & Fixes

  • Added loads of new sounds and particles in various places.
  • Added a new gun model.
  • Added a new platform model.
  • The meteor shot by the flyer now has proper rotation.
  • Tweaked the jumping arc of the crawlers.
  • The fog around the player now gets progressively denser based on height.
  • Made various performance improvements.
  • Fixed an issue where the game would sync to the PC's refresh rate, which could limit the FPS to below the refresh rate of the headset and make the game feel laggy.
  • Fixed an issue where the electricity upon platform damage would have incorrect positioning.
  • Fixed an issue where gem grabbing highlights were broken.
  • Fixed a rare physics crash.
  • Fixed an issue where audio sometimes kept looping when it shouldn't.
  • Fixed an issue where the meteor tutorial would get skipped.
  • Fixed an issue where the navigation gems would disappear if a player falls off the platform.
  • Fixed an issue where the game could crash when pressing the A button in the main menu.
  • Fixed an issue where text would sometimes disappear.

    • Known Issues & Bugs

  • The Flyer enemy sometimes randomly freezes in place.
  • Certain actions are missing sounds and visual effects.
  • The tutorial section is missing some instructions.
  • In the tutorial, crawlers 'walk over air' as the pillar models are missing.
