Release Notes

New Features & Adjustments:


Gameplay:

  • Unit supply has been added as a new mechanic. You get a specific number of units per type depending on the amount and level of your building.
  • Resource gathering has been removed. Resources are now automatically allocated to the players' inventory.
  • Upgrading buildings is now impossible when units are being trained.
  • Adjusted the spawners of the enemies. Increased the amount of spawned enemies in the early game.
  • Increased the amount of wood golems. Wood is now considered a "primary" resource.
  • Rebalanced the stats of the player units - warriors are now more viable, and mages are not as powerful as before.
  • Completely revamped level. Increased the playable area.
  • Added hotkeys for unit and structure commands.
  • Added a small tutorial segment.

Readability:

  • Improved the readability of the game, by adding clearer selection circles around the player units. Added an indicator showing where the units are commanded to go.
  • Added a hover indicator on the enemy units.
  • Complete UI redesign.
  • Wave counter and timer have been added, indicating how much time and how many enemies are left from the current wave. The timer also shows the remaining time until the next wave starts.
  • Indicators of where the enemies from the next will spawn have been added.

Visuals & Sounds:

  • Complete set dressing, including props, foliage, fog, skybox, and post-processing effects.
  • Added sounds for building new structures and enemy deaths. (More sounds will be added in the final release of the game!).
  • All models and UI is fully textured.
  • Terrain texture revamp. Smooth blending between different materials for the terrain has been implemented.

Bug Fixes:

  • Units get stuck in terrain way less.
  • Walls now affect the units' path, units go around walls properly. Walls now have a correct collider size that corresponds to the size of the model.
  • Fixed various issues related to terrain colliders and pathing.
  • Fixed various UI bugs and crashes.
  • Fixed crashes related to the wave system.
