Questions

What you’ve delivered this week.

A more polished version of our levels. We’ve also created a more intuitive menu, that’s also more in-line with the itch.io page. We made a new Tutorial Level to create a better onboarding experience for the player. This level has also been iterated upon, with evidence from the playtesting session. We’ve included our gym levels in the Menu.

On request of Nick and Steve, we have changed the font and style of the menu’s. This new style included a newly made logo.

What do you want feedback on specifically?

While we aren’t going to be able to iterate on the feedback, we would like feedback on how we can improve our overall level design that could potentially also impact future projects.

What did you intend to deliver but didn’t (aka what’s missing).

We would love to have implemented an ‘End Screen’ which shows the player what they have achieved in the played level.

Any outstanding problems we should be aware of (known bugs)?

[#25]  The Player Character is able to jump an infinite amount of times if stomped- and jumped in quick succession. It’s quite difficult to pull off, though.

[#31] A stompable block can be moved when walked towards- and stomped against in quick succession.

[#21]  The Player Character is launched upwards instead of knocked back. This effect is most prominent in the level ‘It’s raining blocks!’

What do you intend to achieve next week?

While we would love to take the opportunity to iterate more on the game and create extra features, we need to also find the time to work on our own personal documentation and the intended learning outcomes.
