Sunbeat City – Early Access 0.2 Changelog (June 11, 2025),

Gameplay & Code

  • Fixed massive performance issues.
  • Objectives now correctly update when picking up instruments.
  • Fixed issue causing music to play twice.
  • Added mouse sensitivity option.
  • Fixed bug of instrument not appearing in the correct location in Hide and Seek mode by changing data type from uint16 to int16.

Art & Visuals

  • Added final Brick Corner model.
  • Updated Instrument models.
  • Added Fence models
  • Updated Balconies models.
  • Added new Parasol mesh and updated materials.
  • Added new Crowd NPC model.
  • Updated lighting to be brighter.
  • Added falling leaves.
  • Added VFX to NPCs.

UI & UX

  • Added new UI art assets.
  • Moved diegetic menu closer for better visual accessibility.


As of the current version (Early Access 0.2) , these are the list of issues/bugs that can come across while playing:

  • Camera leaves body when walking into walls.
  • Able to get stuck in corners when sliding into them.
  • The hide and seek encoder creates a broken course with instrument in the either walls or far out of the map
  • Camera sliding too deep into the floor when running up stairs.
  • Able to climb on obstacles while sliding underneath them.
  • When you walk up stairs your camera sinks into the ground
  • Swinging poles are sometimes just flying in mid air or have wrong collisions
  • Unable to quit game through the in-game menu
  • Main menu broken after beating the game, press tab once then click on screen, that fixes issue for now
  • Exit game in menu does not work
  • Home menu in UI does not work.
  • UI to resize screen messes up screen
  • Vaulting sometimes plays the wrong animation
  • UI does not show instrument properly 
  • Name of picking up 2nd instrument not properly displayed (says guitar should be piano)
  • Player will continue sliding even after letting go of slide in part of level
